I Like Turtles

The Mad Decent main man drops a jaw dropping mix CD showing just why he is one of the coolest DJs and producers on the planet right now. Somehow managing to bring together hip hop, crunk, dancehall, crank (means something different in Manchester, that does), Queen, White Stripes, house, techno, Bat For Lashes, MIA and Schooly D amongst others over 39 tracks of quick mixed brilliance! This fella will have you dancing to stuff you thought you hated, while scratching your head and grinning like a fool. And then finish off with 'Do The Bartman' and make it sound logical. Amazing.

No Sanctuary

Prior to Arise, Amebix released their early material on Flux Of Pink Indians' Spiderleg imprint. These recordings came in extremely limited runs, and were bootlegged to death in the ensuing years, while the original master tapes languished in lockdown at Southern Studios. No Sanctuary: The Spiderleg Recordings gathers the sought-after cult releases No Sanctuary, Who's The Enemy, and Winter. Some of these tunes--such as "Winter" and "No Gods, No Masters"--are undisputed classics in the punk world.Comes free 'Winter' 7".

Peel Seesions 1987-93

The Peel Sessions album contained 3 Peel Sessions which were sub titled as May 87 - No Aids , February 88 - No Salmanela and January 1991 - No war in the Gulf . The album contained many exclusive songs and as ever Datblygu included helpful liner notes .

Slebog Bywydeg - Biology Slut .Stricly anti durex ‘ I want to share you body form your head to your feet gamble with Aids and share your blood , share my blood’ .

Nid Chwiwgi Pwdin Gwaed -Not a blood pudding pilferer . The Gulf war was on and the singer was consuming a litre of vodka every two days ,Daily he had to face hormone crazy schoolkids who he got on with in his role as a teacher of Welsh . the song itself is about the creative process i.e. the most creative behaviour is neurotic , but it sure beats murder .

Rhag Ofn I Chwi Anghofio - In case you should forget . Expresses the wish for real culture in Wales , one not based on childish competing of the national Eisteddfod nor the insanity of television .

Ice Cream Spiritual(PREORDER FOR 21/07/08)

Ponytail are another Baltimore band from the same scene as the Death Set.Their music is total spastic bliss, a complete sugar high freak out, smiles, dimples and grins beam from the crowd to the band, and from band to crowd. It seems theres a great little scene in the US at the moment based in the DIY ethic combining simple electro riffs with fun punk riffage. Here at Tangled Towers we're watching/listening keenly.Whens the UK catching up?

No More Pain LP

Rudimentary Peni were always one of the more interesting bands lumped into the anarcho tag.Not afraid to step out of the box.Their excellent tribute to Edgar Allen Poe,Cacophany, bears testament to this. This new album is unmistakenly Peni,Blinkos' tortured vocals and the buzzing saw guitar work.Intense but pleasing.

London Zoo

The Bug(Kevin Martin)has created a hybrid monster.Part dancehall, part harsh electronics, grime, dubstep all thrown in a blender with some fine vocalists. The album opens with Tippa Irie declaring anger at the state of the modern world.Lyrically its a feature of the album.Warrior Queen adds venom as does Ricky Ranking,Spaceape and Roll Deeps' Flowdan. The bass is punishing throughout underpinned by tight beats.Contender for electronic album of 2008.
