Rudimentary Peni were always one of the more interesting bands lumped into the anarcho tag.Not afraid to step out of the box.Their excellent tribute to Edgar Allen Poe,Cacophany,bears testament to this.This new album is unmistakenly Peni,Blinkos' tortured vocals and the buzzing saw guitar work.Intense but pleasing.
Shelter has some great beautifully crafted
songs,including the title tracke.Be sure to check the video on Six Organs website. The guitar work is so dreamlike-this music transports.Joining Ben Chasney is the Magik Markers' Elisa Ambrogio to cut further swathes of psych guitar into an already intoxicating sound.A late contender for one of the albums of 2007.
TG return after a 23 year hiatus to show the modern accolytes how it should be done.Technology has caught up with the TG sound allowing them to reproduce 'thought' sounds much easier than in their past.This shows and they've created an accomplished comeback album.
